There’s something just so sweet about young love. Meeting your “person” while you’re still trying to figure out who you are, and then being able to grow up together is so sweet!
Brooke & Tony met while they were at school. Both being students, they really got to know each other through their inexpensive dates (learning to cook ratatouille together!) and movie nights.
Their engagement was somewhat unconventional. Shortly after Tony popped the question on a beach blanket in Del Mar, he would have to leave for basic training for four months! You see, Tony had passed a very rigorous audition process, and was selected to be a tuba player in “The President’s Own” Marine Corps Band! Brooke and Tony would spend nearly their entire engagement apart!
But you know the saying, “absence makes the heart grow fonder.” While Tony was away, Brooke had plenty of time to plan their gorgeous and elegant wedding!
The two were sealed for time and all eternity in the San Diego LDS temple, and their reception was held in Brookes’ parent’s backyard. However, this wasn’t just any backyard wedding! Brooke’s dad owns a landscaping business, and her mom is a professional florist! With Brooke’s chosen color pallet of blush, cream, and green, I just knew everything would be beautiful!
Ranunculus, anemones, and cabbage roses complimented the already beautiful landscape design. The white table cloths and natural wooded chairs only enhanced the beauty of the botanical setting.
Brooke & Tony kept the day simple, with no bridal party, but put a strong focus on their family and friends. The weather was not in the mood to cooperate, and a fine mist sprinkled down all evening. however, these two wouldn’t let a little rain ruin their fun. They danced until long after the sun had set, and then left with a beautiful sparkler exit!
