I love shooting at new Wedding Venues, and do you know what I love even more? When said Wedding Venue is less than ten minutes from my house! Becca and Dan’s Rustic Chic Forgotten Barrel Winery Wedding in Escondido, CA was so much fun! But I knew it would be because Becca and Dan are so much fun! Remember their Balboa Park Engagement Session?
The Forgotten Barrel Winery is a small hidden gem on the outskirts of Escondido, CA. This darling venue is a vintage-looking winery with a large rustic barn. Becca and Dan loved the look of all of the reclaimed wood, the old truck out front, wine barrels and rows of grapes. Becca’s dreams of a rustic chic wedding fit perfectly into this venue.
Becca and Dan married in the early fall, and their color palette of Burgundy and Navy Blue with Gold accents really complimented the natural greens of the vineyards, and browns of the reclaimed wood they so loved. Wedding Coordinator Kendra, of Weddings Events by Kendra and Heather of Breezy Day Florals did an amazing job incorporating the chic cooler toned color palette into the decor, and florals while still keeping things appropriate for a rustic wedding.
The reception was held in the vineyard’s “barn” and all of the farmhouse style tables were adorned with navy blue runners. Each centerpiece of burgundy and peach flowers, and eucalyptus, were placed in rustic wooden boxes, flanked with vintage gold mercury votives and wooden table numbers. Becca & Dan’s sweetheart table was covered in a macrame runner which perfectly coordinated the macrame wall hanging behind their memory table. The macrame added the slightest bohemian touch to the venue.
Becca looked beautiful in an off-the-shoulder lace gown from Luv Bridal San Diego, and her bridesmaids not only looked stunning but fit right in wearing their wine and burgundy gowns from David’s Bridal. Dan and his groomsmen added the touch of Navy Blue in their Tuxedos from Friar Tux; and Dan’s tie, pocket square, and boutonniere perfectly complimented Becca’s bridal bouquet.
I love that Becca and Dan stayed true to themselves, and added a bit of country detail to their wedding. To commemorate that they met at the Poway Rodeo, Dan wore brown Cowboy Boots on the big day! Those same boots, hid Becca’s engagement ring the night he proposed on the Coronado Cays gondola ride. They are huge fans of BBQ and had Southfork Catering prepare dinner for their guests (I might add, Southfork made the BEST mashed potatoes I’ve ever had!), and they love to sing Country music at the top of their lungs!
“Working with Morgan was an absolute dream. After watching her photograph our good friend’s wedding we loved her style and had to make sure she was part of our special day! The day was absolutely perfect and she helped keep us on track and made sure we got all of the pictures we wanted. A true professional and it always felt like she was excited to be there! I’m sure any future Dovely bride will not be disappointed.”Becca
